With the fantasy playoffs just a few weeks away, “Shop or Drop” is back, giving you expert advice on who to pick up and drop every week in your fantasy football league.

Waiver Wire additions

Noah Brown – WR – Houston Texans – 40% rostered via Yahoo! Sports

After Noah Brown exploded for a combined 55 fantasy points in weeks nine and 10, he has since been sidelined due to a bruised knee. He did play against the Broncos this past Sunday, but no one would ever know it, as he was only targeted twice and did not record a catch. With Tank Dell now out for the year, expect Brown to reestablish himself in this high-powered Texans offense.

Curtis Samuel – WR – Washington Commanders – 38% rostered via Yahoo! Sports

This season, Curtis Samuel has quietly put up a handful of solid stat lines. After catching fire from weeks four to six, injuries caused him to stall out for a bit.  But over the past two weeks, the veteran receiver has caught 13 passes for 165 yards. In this struggling Washington offense, Samuel has been Howell’s favorite target as of late. Although Washington is on a bye this Sunday, stash him on your bench for some depth heading into the fantasy playoffs.

Jonathan Mingo – WR – Carolina Panthers – 7% rostered via Yahoo! Sports

With the Panthers beginning to look a tad better on offense, Jonathan Mingo is slowly coming into his own. The rookie receiver recorded six receptions on 10 targets for 69 yards in Sunday’s loss. This is the second week in a row where Mingo has scored over 10 fantasy points.

Tyjae Spears – RB – Tennessee Titans – 36% rostered via Yahoo! Sports

Tyjae Spears has played a nice role in Tennessee’s offense this season. The only problem for the rookie running back is that Derrick Henry looks like he is planning on never slowing down. However, with Henry in concussion protocol, Spears may slide into the RB1 role this upcoming Sunday. Spears had an efficient day with Henry sidelined, rushing for 75 yards and hauling in four passes on six targets.

Ezekiel Elliott – RB – New England Patriots – 40% rostered via Yahoo! Sports

Drop him, add him, drop him again. That has been the story with Ezekiel Elliot in what is a horrendous year for the Patriots. Yet, here we are, picking him right back up again. Rhamondre Stevenson was knocked from the game with an ankle injury and will not be playing against the Steelers on Thursday night. In his absence, Zeke rushed for 52 yards while catching four passes for 40 receiving yards.

Gerald Everett  – TE – Los Angeles Chargers – 39% rostered via Yahoo! Sports

With reliable tight ends being hard to come by, Gerald Everett may be a sleeper moving forward. In his past two starts, the 29-year-old tight end has had a least four receptions for 40 or more yards. Behind Keenan Allen, Everett is Herbert’s most reliable target.

Players to Drop

Jahan Dotson – WR – Washington Commanders

In a crowded receiving room, Dotson is bound to see fewer looks with the increasing production of Curtis Samuel. He is competing for targets with Terry McLaurin, Logan Thomas, Dyami Brown, Antonio Gibson, and obviously, Samuel.

Juwan Johnson – TE – New Orleans Saints

Juwan Johnson finished the high-scoring affair against the Lions with zero catches on three targets. The veteran tight end is too risky to have on your starting roster, especially with fantasy playoffs approaching.

Jeff Wilson Jr. – RB – Miami Dolphins

With De’Von Achane fully healthy and back from injury, Jeff Wilson Jr. has to compete with both Achane and Mostert for carries. This does not bode well for Wilson, as he received only four rushing attempts in the blowout victory against Washington.

If you see some of these guys on your waiver wire, try and scoop them up. Although some players may not have a spot on your starting roster at the moment, injuries are bound to happen. When everyone else in your league is scrambling around looking for replacements, you will remember that you read “Shop and Drop”, and reinforcements are already sitting on your bench.
