After a handful of exciting matchups in Week 2, “Shop or Drop with Rob” is back, giving you advice on who to pick up and drop every week in your fantasy football league.

Waiver Wire additions

Jerome Ford – RB – Cleveland Browns – 17% rostered via Yahoo! Sports

With Nick Chubb out for the year with a devastating knee injury, Jerome Ford is primed to take over this backfield. In Chubb’s absence, Ford rushed for 106 yards on 16 attempts and tacked on three receptions for 25 receiving yards and a touchdown. With quarterback Deshaun Watson struggling early on, expect the Browns to stick to the running game with Ford.

Zack Moss – RB – Indianapolis Colts – 54% rostered via Yahoo! Sports

Zack Moss just played a whopping 98% of snaps while star half back Jonathan Taylor remains on the injury reserve list, racking up 22 touches for 88 yards and a touchdown. We are truly not sure if and when Taylor will return, meaning Moss may have a chance to solidify himself as the RB1 for the time being in this Colts offense.

Josh Reynolds – WR – Detroit Lions – 13% rostered via Yahoo! Sports

The Lions offense has been hot, and Reynolds is one of the reasons why. Behind Amon-Ra St. Brown, Reynolds is simply that guy, as he caught five passes for 66 yards and two touchdowns. Star wideout Jameson Williams doesn’t return to the lineup until Week 7, meaning Reynolds will continue to see opportunities in this receiving core.

DeVante Parker – WR – New England Patriots – 2% rostered via Yahoo! Sports

DeVante Parker played every snap against Miami and was Mac Jones’ most reliable target, catching six of his eight looks for 57 yards. The opportunities will always be there for Parker if he continues to stay on the field like he did against the Dolphins this past Sunday.

Tank Dell – WR – Houston Texans – 5% rostered via Yahoo! Sports

Even with Houston still trying to figure things out, Tank Dell was a bright spot in their offense. Although he’s listed as the WR3 on the depth chart, Dell was targeted 10 times, catching seven of them for 72 yards, and found the end zone. If CJ Stroud continues to grow, Dell will benefit tremendously.

Matt Breida – RB – New York Giants – 2% rostered via Yahoo! Sports

There is no stat line from Matt Breida to impress you with, but with Saquon Barkley out for 2-3 weeks, Breida is the next man up in this backfield.  He may be considered a desperate start against a vicious San Francisco defensive front this week, but Brieda may come in handy down the road.

Players to Drop

Zach Charbonnet – RB – Seattle Seahawks

Zach Charbonnet had a nice little hype train chugging along during the pre-season. It has not translated to the regular season, though, as he has only rushed for 27 yards through the first two games. It’s apparent that Kenneth Walker III still rules this backfield.

JuJu Smith-Schuster – WR – New England Patriots

JuJu should stick to making TikToks, as he is the fourth option for Mac Jones behind Parker, Bourne, and Henry. Smith-Schuster has not reached over eight fantasy points this season, and it does not look like he will exceed that mark anytime soon.

Van Jefferson – WR – Los Angeles Rams

Two words: Puka. Nacua. Coming out of nowhere, Nacua is the best fantasy receiver through the first two weeks of the season. Nacua, Atwell, and Higbee are Stafford’s favorite targets. Additionally, Cooper Kupp with soon return from injury, most likely removing Jefferson from the rotation.

If you see some of these guys on your waiver wire, try and scoop them up. Although some players may not have a spot on your starting roster at the moment, injuries are bound to happen. When everyone else in your league is scrambling around looking for replacements, you will that you read “Shop and Drop”, and reinforcements are already sitting on your bench.
