Steven Warner, a transfer student, decided to try something new on campus. He saw this event and joined to have fun and meet new people. Here, he is working on his oars that will help his raft get across the pool. He designed a raft instead of a boat to see if it would float. – Staff Photographer / Adriana Zawojski.
Steven Warner’s raft, tested by Jessica Carroll, finished in second place with fifty-eight seconds. – Staff Photographer / Adriana Zawojski.

Carroll and Sulock race across the pool in their boats. They started paddling with the oars they made, then changed to using their hands and arms. This helped make it easier to move the boats along the water. Carroll’s boat won with a time of 51 seconds. – Staff Photographer / Adriana Zawojski.
