Super Bowl Sunday is almost here and to be completely honest, this has been a hard prediction for me.

On one hand, you have the most complete team, in my opinion, in the San Francisco 49ers. The defense is outstanding all around especially the defensive line led by rookie stud, Nick Bosa. Plus, having a veteran star like defensive back Richard Sherman leading the backfield is one of the main reasons why the 49ers were the best all around defense this season.

On the offensive side of the ball, Head Coach Kyle Shanahan seems to make the offense so simple to run for quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. With weapons like tight end George Kittle and wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders, the 49ers seem like the safe pick to go with in this contest.

Unfortunately, I’m a “ live on the edge” type of guy and that’s why I am going with the Kansas City Chiefs to win this game. My reasoning for this is pretty simple.

PATRICK MAHOMES!

I just feel like this guy is made for moments like this and when he has players like tight end Travis Kelce and wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Sammy Watkins to throw to, it makes it hard to bet against the Chiefs.

Even though the Chiefs defense is not the best, they have played well lately and shouldn’t be underestimated going into the game. If they can just contain the run against the 49ers offense, Patrick Mahomes can take them to the promised land from there.

I have the Chiefs winning 27-21 out of respect for the 49ers defense.

Also, expect this game to be very physical as both teams will probably try to get to the quarterback. Personally, I see both teams trying to stack eight in the box to apply pressure.

This Sunday I think we’ll see the legendary story of Patrick Mahomes elevate to new heights in front of the bright lights in Miami, Florida.
