5:53 Welcome everyone looking to comment on Oscar Fashion. This awards season has brought out some interesting and incredible styles. Tonight is the cherry on the sundae. Judging by the the fashion history of notable nominees I am predicting some good choices.

I’m excited to see Marion Cotillard, last year’s winner for best actress and a presenter this year. As for this year’s nominations, I definitely want to see Kate Winslet. Her style choices have gotten increasingly better each year since her terrible choices after Titanic.

As for the men…I can tell you who I’m not excited to see, Mickey Rourke. He may have made a comeback in film but he didn’t in fashion. Not that he every really had anything to come back from. Happy posting!

6:00 I’ll be following E! Entertainment. Channel 53 in Glassboro.

6:05 Miley Cyrus arrived. She looks adorable. Great dress for her age and still glamorous.

6:08 Why don’t they ask who makes dresses anymore? Miley Cyrus is wearing a very full beige colored dress with pedal layers. Anyone know the designer?

6:15 They’re showing commercials for the EPIC “Australia.” I didn’t see the movie, but I know it got a ton of hype and very little good feedback. Anyone else think they gave Hugh Jackman the host role as a kind of compensation for what had all the makings to be an Oscar movie?

6:20 Jackman has experience with award shows from the Tony’s.

6:25 Anyone else this E host Giuliana DePandi’s dress looks almost exactly like Keira Knightley’s last year?

6:30 Jennifer Gray looks like Jennifer Orange. Lay off the spray on tan

6:35 I realize it’s difficult to be creative in menswear, but Zach Efron’s tie is too skinny, still to the classics. Vanessa Hudgens wearing Georgina Chapman dress. Did not get a good look, but from the top seems simple black with white accent.

6:37 Kevin Kline, another one that has a little too much fun with the collar. Just keep in simple. Just got a full look at Hudgen’d dress. Very cute. Looks like one of Barbie’s classic dress. Black, tight to mid calf then poofy. Barbie seems to be inspiring everyone this year.

6: 40 Amy Adams arrives in red. I always thought red was a no no if you have orange/red hair?

6:45 All the children from Slumdog. Soooooo cute!

6:50 Freida Pinto and Dev Patel arriving together with Slumdog cast. I can’t decide on whether I like her dress yet. It’s blue with sheer covering on one arm. John Galliano.

6:53 John Legend always looks great. Very simple classic suit. It looks like a rust color up close.

6:55 Didn’t think it was possible but Heidi Klum looks terrible. She’s wearing a orange/pink futuristic like dress. Not a fan…

7:00 Viola Davis from “Doubt” arrives wearing Reem Acra who also designed Jill Biden’s inaugural dress. It looks very 70s. Eh.

7:05 Taraji P. Henson from “The Curious Case of Bejamin Button is my favorite so far. Log onto IMDb to see Oscar Fashion. They have some photos up including Henson’s.

7:06 Big necklaces very in this year. Henson and Adams are wearing them. Adam’s very colorful.

7:09 Michael Sheen talking with Seacrest. He looks good, a little scruffy. I think “Frost/Nixon” was really neglected this award season. I hope this win some tonight.

7:11 Sarah Jessica Parker looks like Cinderella. It’s great, but I would lose the belt.

7:15 Amanda Seyfried from “Mama Mia” performing tonight, another dud in the fashion category. Bright red dress with a huge side bow.

7:16 Amy Adams, it’s not my favorite, but it’s pretty.

7:17 Robert Pattinson. Another skinny bow tie! Trends tonight: skinny bow ties, large necklaces, silhouette dresses with poofy bottoms…

7:18 SJP “barely mint” color Dior haute couture. Strapless and enormous.

7:20 Marissa Tomei has managed to pick out the worst dresses for each award show this year. It looks like  layers of accordion fabrics sewn together.

7:27 Mickey Rourke looks pretty good compared to his last get ups. John Paul Gaultier is really a magical. Also wearing a photo of his dog taht just passed away around his neck. Cute.

7:32. Just got a glimpse of Beyonce. Another silhouette strapless with flared bottom. It has metallic leaf print on it. Kind of cheesy.

7:32 Jessica Biel with white iPhone to match her white dress. Anne Hathaway (piets?) on her dress, reminds me of Marion Cotillard’s fish scale dress from last year.

7:35 Evan Rachel Wood love her dress and hair. It looks very 50s.

7:37 Do not like Jessica Biel’s dress at all. It just doesn’t flow well with her body. First look at Angelina Jolie. Emily Kostic was right…she’s wearing black, but I think it;s a great dress. Strapless, free flowing. It’s very her.

7:45 Penelope Cruz…I like her better when her hair is a little messy. It’s very put together tonight. Philip Seymour Hoffman worst dressed man. Who wears a beanie on the red carpet, especially in that heat. Peneople Cruz’s dress is absolutely gorgeous. My favorite of the night. Marion Cotillard, nice, but nothing spectacular. Cruz in a rougue couture dress.

7:48 Kate Winslet’s look is my favorite. It’s an interesting dress. Works well on her, but the hair is real Hollywood and really “Revolutionary Road.”

7:59 Robert Downey Jr. looks hot. He’s definitely my favorite guy. I think it’s a little ridiculous that he gets nominated for Tropic Thunder. Kate Winslet in Eves St. Laurent. Just got a better look on ABC. She is definitely my favorite! Diane Lane looks good in Dolce and Gabbana.

8:02 I had no idea Tom Gunn was covering fashion on ABC. Love him. Amy Adams in Carolina Herrera. Looking at SJP again. It’s very her, but a little too cupcake.

8:10 Tim Gunn dubbs Valentino Oscar lucky dress.

8:15 Miley Cyrus’s dress is Zuhair Murad.  Anne Hathaway in Armani.

8:20 Meryl Streep and her daughter look so cute together.

8:22 Penelope Cruz vintage (Valmet?) dress. She says 60 years old. She found it years ago and didn’t buy it then found it a week before Oscars this year. The dress us gorgeous. I’m torn between her’s and Winslet’s.

8:27 Swarovski crystal curtain at the Oscars. Nice.
