Glassboro police arrests four Rowan students on drug-related charges

The Glassboro Police Department served a narcotics search warrant and arrested four Rowan students at 416 Victoria Street early Wednesday morning, according to a press release. The detective bureau led a three-week long investigation that resulted in seizing over 50 grams of marijuana.

This narcotics investigation marks the third time Glassboro police has arrested students for drug related charges since November 2013. The search began around 6:30 a.m. following the trend from the previous two investigations, according to a press release.

The four students involved were Gregory Faniro and Robert Walz Jr., both 22, of Glassboro, Scott Dovey, 22, of Egg Harbor City, and Alec Seaver, 21, of Clark. All were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana over 50 grams, possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance within 500 feet of a public building, possession with the intent to distribute, possession of stolen property and possession of CDS paraphernalia, according to the press release.

Law enforcement officials discovered CDS packaging materials and paraphernalia, over $1600 in cash and found the four students in possession of ‘wax’ which can be made through a chemical process that breaks down a marijuana plant to achieve higher THC content.

The four men had bail set at $7,500 cash with a posting of 10 percent each.

Detective Mike Powell of the Glassboro Police Department led the investigation.
