Features Frequent Fashion: Super Bowl Savings

With Super Bowl Sunday set to kick off this weekend, it’s time to start deciding what to wear for the big game.

This year, both teams (Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks) have great colors: the Broncos are cobalt blue and orange and the Seahawks are lime green and navy blue. Regardless of what team you are rooting for, there are so many options for accessorizing that will make you simultaneously feel like a woman and a super fan.

Because women’s Broncos and Seahawks jerseys at NFLshop.com cost over $100 right now, try creating your own outfit for the game.

If you’re looking to dress up  a shirt, going to AC Moore or Michael’s and getting a plain shirt to decorate might be a better option. With enough decoration, a plain tee can be transformed into an ultimate fan shirt in no time.

American Apparel has solid T-shirts in an array of colors for around $20. Zappos offers Neff hats in various colors for $16-$20. Scarves.net sells colored scarves starting from $12.95. An innovative combination of these clothing items makes for a great Super Bowl Sunday outfit.

If you are going out and want to spruce up a bit, pair your new team gear with leather leggings and booties.

If you’re feeling extra creative, changing your makeup or nail polish to match your team’s colors is a fun way to support your team. Five Below has a wide selection of colorful nail polishes and eye shadows for very cheap prices. Target is another store that offers a lot of beauty choices that might be useful this Sunday.

Even places like CVS or Wal-Mart have plenty of different hair and makeup accessories that can help spruce up your look for the game. You can tie ribbons in your hair, put on some beaded necklaces or paint your face to finish your look and you’re ready to go.

Even if your team may not have made it this year, female fans should be excited by all of the options at their disposal. So instead of spending obscene amounts of money on game gear, create your own fan look with some of these suggestions.
