Sex Column: Porn

April 21, 2010 6:42 pm 1 comment Views: 3

Of all of the topics I could think to write for this column, I never would have thought that porn would be one of the more controversial ones. Whenever you bring up porn, you are greeted with either disgust, laughter or a fist pump.

So, why would you want to watch porn anyway? Well here are a few reasons:

1. It’s hot.

2. It sometimes has a better plot than most reality shows.

3. To get off.

4. It’s funny as hell.

Seriously, if you haven’t thought the idea around “Nailin’ Palin” was hysterical, you’re lying to yourself and everyone around you.

Some people are very against porn, claiming that it’s degrading to women. While there is porn that is degrading and misogynistic, not all of at is. Yeah, you heard me right: porn can be feminist. Some production companies have better track records than others to ensure the safety and comfort of all of their actors.

So, you like to enjoy some safe voyeurism while watching porn, and that’s completely okay. Maybe you can even partake in some porn viewing with your partner. Just remember that porn is not sex education, and to not always try what you see at home. Once you’re in the mood and the porn has done its job, feel free to do what you will to leave yourself with a satisfied look on your face.

And that’s a money shot that everyone can enjoy.

  • I attended Rowan a few years ago and graduated. The publication was remotely respectable then. Now it is PATHETIC. How is this even REMOTELY newsworthy or worthy of any kind of opinion related article? What happened to Rowan students? Is that all college is to you people? Drinking and sex? PATHETIC.
