Each week Sports Editor Erin Tideman sits down with a Rowan athlete to ask them various questions. The athlete in this week’s hotseat is senior swimmer and captain Kevin Ovalle.

Q: If Rowan wasn’t brown and gold, what colors would it be?
A: We wouldn’t have any colors.

Q: Where is the last place you traveled?
A: New York for a swim meet.

Q: Favorite time of year and why?
A: The summer because I hate cold weather.

Q: What is the worst injury you’ve ever had?
A: Hyperextended my knee snowboarding my senior year of high school.

Q: Most expensive book you had to buy for a class?
A: I don’t remember, probably my exercise physiology or anatomy books.

Q: Favorite childhood TV show?
A: Ninja Turtles.

Q: Chuck Norris is sitting next to you on a plane. What do you do?
A: Shave his beard while he is sleeping.

Q: One thing no one knows about you?
A: I’m a better writer than Billy Stewart.

Q: The last three things you did today?
A: Ate lunch, went to the gym, and filled out this thing.

Q: First thing that comes to mind when you hear the word …

Orange?
A: Banana.

Pool?
A: Blah.

Snack?
A: Pack.

Q: Favorite musician?
A: LCD Soundsystem.

Q: Favorite movie quote?
A: “There is an idea of a Patrick Bateman; some kind of abstraction. But there is no real me: only an entity, something illusory. And though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable … I simply am not there.”

Q: If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
A: Chicken parmesan sandwich from Cincontes.

Q: Person on your team most like you?
A: Aileen Milde. We are basically two of a kind.

    Rowan student Charis Wilson, a senior marketing major and dance minor from Marlton, NJ, died on Monday after sustaining severe injuries as the result of a car accident on Nov. 6.     Photo Courtesy of Brian Rosner An alleged drunken driver struck three Rowan students on Sunday, Nov. 6, when they were crossing Route 47, just north of New Street, around 1:45 a.m., police said.
